24-Hour Medical Staffing Services, LLC is hiring an experienced Stepdown (SDU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team of healthcare professionals.
Job Overview:
- Job Title: Stepdown (SDU) Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Santa Cruz, California
- Type of Assignment: Contract (13 weeks)
- Start Date: 4/14/2025
- Shift: 3x12 Hours, 36 hours per week
- Shift Hours: 19:00 - 07:30
- Pay Rate: $2,500 - $2,800 per week
Qualifications:
- Valid California License
- BLS Certification (must be through American Heart Association - AHA)
- ACLS Certification (must be through American Heart Association - AHA)
- NIHSS certification
- Minimum 2-years recent experience as a RN Stepdown in an acute care hospital within the last 3 years
- Unit: Telemetry, cardiac intervention unit and tele overflow
- Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Post cath patients both clean and interventions; post TEE, Post cardioversion, ablations, AICD, sometimes external temp pacer patients, sometimes transcutaneous pacing, chest tubes, tube feedings, lots of drains, must be very fluent in gtts--will titrate down; gtts seen include amiodarone, cardizem, nitro, pressors, dopamine, insulin, heparin, etc
- Stepdown/PCU/DOU nurses needed; not MST or Tele
